Module PSYM067 - The Psychology of Sustainable Development
Dates: Monday 13th March 2023 - Friday 17th March 2023
Time: 9am to 5pm
This one week course explores the psychological dimensions of environmental issues. This includes topics such as social barriers and motivations for pro-environmental behaviour, perceptions of environmental risk, behaviour change and consumer behaviour and wellbeing. The course aims to provide students with the ability to develop evidence based interventions for the promotion of sustainable lifestyles and behaviours. It is designed for people with different disciplinary backgrounds who have an interest in understanding the social and psychological dimensions of environmental risk perception and sustainability. The teaching team are experienced environmental psychologists with a strong track record in understanding human-environment relationships.
