Measures: forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume (FEV1), forced expiratory ratio and maximal voluntary ventilation (MVV).

 

This test is used to assess pulmonary function and can help diagnose different lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD). During the test, you will wear a nose piece and breathe into a spirometer at varying rates, in order to determine the measures listed above.
