Pharmacological Potential of the Hyacinthaceae: Developing Homoisoflavonoids as a Treatment for Macular Degeneration.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together experts in the fields of chemistry, botany, pharmacology and related areas to discuss the potential of the Hyacinthaceae, and, in particular, to accelerate the study of homoisoflavonoids as a treatment for macular degeneration.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together experts in related fields: natural products and synthetic chemists, botanists, pharmacologists, computer modelers and clinical practitioners working on the botany, chemistry and pharmacology of the Hyacinthaceae. It will bring together existing collaborators and new potential collaborators to get the most promising compounds to the clinical trial stage as quickly as possible.

2nd International RAISIN Meeting 6-8 September 2023


The event will take place at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK between 6th-8th September 2023. The meeting is open to all PhD students and post-docs working in the field of quantum technologies.

This meeting is intended to bring academic and industry partners together to set out what the quantum technology community requires of ISI and for developers of ISI techniques to formulate a framework to meet these needs.
