On successful completion of this module, you will be able to: · Demonstrate understanding of the life cycle assessment methodology · Be aware of the resources required to do a life cycle assessment study in practice · Be able to provide a critical perspective on the quality of a life cycle assessment study done by others · Understand the key benefits and challenges of the application of life cycle assessment for a range of purposes.
The programme includes:
· Practical experience of executing a life cycle assessment using commercial software · Exposure to a range of resources available to do life cycle assessment including inventory databases and life cycle impact assessment methods. The programme is an in-person training event, taking place at the University of Surrey, Stag Hill campus, GU2 7XH Cancellations must be notified in writing ten working days before the event. A cancellation fee of 50% is charged for cancellations received within 10 working days before the training; Beyond this date, we charge full rate and do not give refunds. If no written notice of cancellation is received, no refund can be made. The University of Surrey reserves the right to cancel any event. In this case, the full fee will be refunded unless a mutually convenient transfer can be arranged.
