Detailed Description
This new resource, created by Laban Studies specialist, choreographer and educator Anna Carlisle, illustrates ways in which virtual maps and clusters of dynamic colouring offer frameworks and tools for choreographic exploration, composition and development. There are many and varied choreographic styles and methodologies and the material on this DVD presents a range of structural possibilities designed to activate ideas and strategies for the processes of dance making. The material is based on the innovative work of Rudolf Laban, pioneer of Dance Theatre, Movement Analysis and Dance Notation, and provides easily accessible and illustrated ways of approaching and using theories of space, action, dynamics, rhythm and timing.
