Detailed Description
A DVD of Shobana Jeyasingh’s Faultline created in 2007, which uses dance, film and a powerful score to create an atmospheric and perceptive insight into contemporary Britain. Eight international dancers bring an armoury of skills from contemporary dance, Bharata Natyam and martial arts, whilst acclaimed soprano Patricia Rozario adds vocals to the electronic soundscape.
The DVD includes two versions of the full-length performance. A wide-shot allows the full stage action to be seen in totality, while a second edited version provides a more detailed close-up look at the intricate choreography. Currently a set work for GCSE Dance (AQA).
